EXPERIENCE Ernst & Young, Moscow, Russia

Working with the top international accounting and auditing firm for 2 and a half years, I’ve had and opportunity to gain experience in both international banking accounting/auditing being an auditor, also assisted senior staff in a variety of telecom, energy and utilities, oil and gas, industry products, retail and consumer products, advisory and other engagements. Below you can see my career path with Ernst & Young and summary of duties performed as well as skills developed.

Oct 2009-Present Audit advanced staff/consultant

Audit:

During 2009 financial year, I have acted as an advance for audit

I participated in audit engagements of largest banks and financial corporations in Moscow, RF. I investigated documents, transactions and accounts to bring out inefficiencies and fraudulent activities, feedbacks for corrective actions, investigated of postings to general journal and general ledger. I performed substantive procedures of different sections (P&L and BS) including analytical reviews, organizing and testing controls of the present result. I also examined Client’s transformation procedures from RAL (Russian Accounting Legislation) to IFRS, performed different procedures for RAL (calculation of statutory ratios, open currency position, public forms etc). Performance of other duties such as writing narratives of business processes, walkthroughs etc.

Oct 2008 – Oct 2009 Audit staff/consultant

Since my joining Ernst & Young in January 2008 as an intern, I was gradually promoted to next professional levels.

During that period I worked under supervision of audit seniors and managers in general audit and mainly in banking audit engagements. These engagements included audit of major banks in RF, multinational/international companies operating in oil gas, textile, food, construction, and entertainment industries.

Audit:

• Preliminary audit procedures: Assisted audit seniors in planning efficient and effective audit, gather data and necessary information from client to perform audit;

• Main audit procedures: Inquiry, observation, analytics, testing and evidence;

• Assisted audit seniors in delivery of audit report and other deliverables.

Skills developed: Multi tasking, working under tough deadlines and pressure

Jan 2008 – Oct 2008 Audit intern

As an intern I pparticipated and assisted our advance staff in the audit of the Projects. Collected, analyzed and prepared work papers on the basis of the obtained supporting documents.

Sep 2003 – Jan 2008 Project analyst, Department of Investment project finance

The bank is one of the top 4 commercial banks in Uzbekistan. The bank is actively engaged in financing both long and short term strategic investment projects.

As a project analyst, I performed credit and financial analysis of a loan claimers FS in terms of liquidity, solvency and cash flow stability. I also marketed the bank’s products among small businesses in the designated geographical area. I carried out monitoring of given loans and also performed analysis of business plans and loan applications made under the financing framework of EBRD. Also I worked on signing and disbursement loans.

QUALIFICAIONTS

One of the priorities of Ernst & Young is education and trainings of its employees. In this regard, the Company arranges in-house and external trainings. I took part in professional trainings of Ernst & Young held in Avrora office (2008—2009-2010). I also attended courses and passed exams of Certified

Accountant Practitioner. I’m in process of taking ACCA exams, currently passed 4 papers.

EDUCATION

Sep 1997 – July 2001 Bachelor of Business Administration, Tashkent State University of Economics. In 2000, I was honored as the best student of University (Scholarship of president of Uzbekistan)

SKILLS

My native language is Uzbek, and I’m fluent in English, Turkish and Russian. I’m a professional user of MS office applications.

Comfort with quantitative analysis, able to work well in teams and with clients, able to balance and prioritize multiple tasks, able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Good communication skills. Initiative and willing to learn.

Personal

Leisure interests. Various sport activities, music, and reading. Strong keen of football. Travelled in many countries, such as Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England and developed broad view in life. Fluent English, Turkish, Uzbek and Russian. Computer Literate.

Мне тем не менее часто приходят весьма красивые резюме, это обращает на себя внимание и побуждает пригласить человека на собеседование.

Много раз бывало, что приходит резюме человека с опытом в 10 и более лет на топ позиции, но при этом не только не отредактировано, даже не прописаны полностью обязанности, мол сами знаете же, чем занимаются руководители...

Алексей, а вы продолжаете общение с кандидатами, чье резюме вам визуально не нравится?

Где-то 80% резюме, которые я получаю оформлены настолько отвратительно, демонстрируют лишь — отсутствие элементарных навыков составления читабельных документов и форматирования текста в MS Word.

Тут сейчас тоже сложно с поиском работы, но можно прорваться.

Многие сейчас значительно понижают в зарплате, кстати.

Думаю, вам стоит пробовать силы в самых крупных кадровых агентствах. В них можно получить шикарный опыт за значительно короткий период времени.

Чем крупнее компания, тем лучше для вас на данном этапе!

Курсы стоит упомянуть в любом случае — это покажет работодателю на ваше стремление.

Ваши плюсы: английский, образование, связанное с психологией! У вас ведь общая, возрастная была сто процентов.
